About Us

We're not part of a chain, we're a friendly local team who want you to enjoy the hotel and the surroundings, and come back again.

Robert Grigor-Taylor has been the landlord of The Lathkil Hotel for the last 26 years. Since then the hotel has been family run.

There has been a public house here since Georgian times. It used to be called the Miners Arms and was used for much-needed refreshment by the lead miners working in Lathkil Dale. Indeed, in the 1850s it was owned by James Bateman, the local mining agent.
