I posted a recent review of your hotel on Trip Advisor but thought the experience we had deserved me copying the review to your own website. Hope you don't mind me copying and pasting it straight from my first review but here it is...
I came to this lovely hotel with my wife for a winter getaway and was impressed with every aspect. The rooms are spotless and exceptionally comfortable and make the perfect base for coming to look around the Peak District. There was plenty of room for my wife and I and the room was meticulously presented when we first arrived. (As a point of note for those who may wish to bring a dog, I am really not surprised the previous reviewer found the room small with 2 great big dogs! There is enough room comfortably for one large dog and two people). We stayed in one of the front rooms with a gorgeous view of the dale, which made our stay extra special. I would definitely recommend one if you can book one! The food was superb and ranks very highly in my opinion compared to country hotels I have stayed in before. It was very tasty, wholesome and you can tell it has been lovingly prepared at the hotel. It was also very good value for money. The range of beers available is superb and the staff were more than helpful in discussing each one with me (as I am a big real ale fan) and even letting me sample the ones I did not recognise. The staff were also very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were all very polite and professional but you can really tell they are part of a small and effective team, which made the stay even more enjoyable. They were most helpful in helping us find our way around the local area and quick to offer maps and advice when we chatted about the local attractions. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms are fantastic and comfortable, the staff are friendly, helpful and approachable and the food and beers are all of a superior quality. The Lathkil certainly has the edge over other hotels that I have stayed in around this area and I will certainly be coming back here. My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay.

The staff are very friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. The food is very good indeed and we especially enjoyed the local lamb chops. The beers are excellent and very well cared for. I will definitely be coming again, the location is perfect. Thank you all!
